I am thankful for laptop computers, Netflix instant watch, scheduled posts for blogging and modern medicine. I had surgery last Wednesday – don’t worry, I’m fine. It’s going to take me a while to bounce back to my old self though.
Even though I won’t be doing much cooking for a while, I still have quite a few recipes ready to share with you. And, of course there’s a menu and grocery list for this week too.
One of the meals on the menu is Roast Chicken with Garlic and Wine. You can save yourself some time by buying and cooking 2 chickens instead of just one. Freeze the extra meat to use in other dishes later in the week.
You might also want to buy a bigger pack of hamburger than what is on the grocery list. Go ahead and brown it all up, freezing what you don’t need. That will give you a head start on another meal.
Here’s the menu for this week:
- Broccoli Soup with Cheddar Muffins
- Roast Chicken with Garlic and Wine and Onions with Herbs and Wine
- Enchiladas with Chili-Tomato Sauce
- Chicken and Cheesy Rice Casserole
- Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing and Ham Steaks
- Asian Noodles with Stir-Fry Veggies
- No Bake Cookies

Oh! Thanks.. that chicken recipe is so easy. Plus, I’m going grocer shopping this morning so I can buy the few things I don’t already have.
Thank you for the recipes! Where are you getting all these recipes? What is your source? Again, thank you so much for making my life easier and giving me more time to spend with my family.
