Menu, Grocery List, Recipes – Week 23

by Sacagawea on January 11, 2010

It’s definitely early January.  Cold, snow, gray.  Sledding, hot cocoa, fires in the fireplace.

Our family celebrated a birthday and anniversary over the weekend.  It was a good weekend.

The menu has plenty of comfort food to keep you warm this week.  As always, you get 6 dinners and 1 dessert.  Serving suggestions are included on the recipes in bold and on the grocery list in curly brackets {}.

Here’s what’s up for this week:

That sounds like a good week. How about a low fat option week?

Kristal, I’ll have to think about a low fat week. I don’t know much about dieting or cutting out fat. I never really try to do that, although I should. I do have a great soup recipe coming up that has no fat and all veggies. I think you’ll like it.

I’m baking your cake today. It’s in the oven right now. Potato Soup for dinner and Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting for dessert. I can’t think of anything better!

The Cottage Pie looks awfully yummy too.
