I felt like a kid again when I had this for lunch the other day. Something about the homemade white bread, the big glass of chocolate milk and the individual cup of applesauce. It made me remember carrying my Holly Hobby lunch box to school. The same lunch box I hit Denny Rice with. Denny was a trouble maker. He knocked the head off my snowman. Our second grade teacher, Mrs. Shaum actually washed his mouth out with soap one day. Can teachers still do that?
Crunchy peanut butter and raspberry jam spread on Depression Era Bread. Simple and good.
A peek ahead at next week:
I’m working on another Menu/Grocery List/Recipes for you to download. If all goes according to plan, that will be available Monday. Be sure to check back for it and let your friends know too.
For those of you who don’t eat as much (or any) meat, I’ll try to have some recipes for you on the menu, or suggestions for you to alter the dishes. I’ve also got a great vegetarian recipe lined up to share next week. It made for a delicious dinner last night and the leftovers heated up great for lunch. Be sure to visit next week to get the recipe.
