Time for another giveaway! There are several reasons that I want to do this giveaway. I really appreciate everyone who reads this blog. I love that you let me share with you what I’m cooking up for my own family. And I love when you share your thoughts on the recipes or what you are cooking at home.
That leads me to confess my ulterior motive for this giveaway. I want more people to comment more often. Since moving my blog to its own domain, I have quite a few readers and subscribers; way more than the number of people commenting. So, I want to encourage everyone to start commenting. Your input will add value to the blog. I often learn from readers about what worked (or in some cases, didn’t work) when they cooked my recipes. Readers have given suggestions for alterations or substitutions to recipes. I recommend that you read through the comments of any recipe you want to try, because someone my have shared a great idea about the recipe.
I also welcome you to ask questions of me in the comments section. I try to answer every question in the comments. Often, I will email my response to the reader as well.
Now for the giveaway rules: Every comment you leave anywhere on my blog from now through May 15, will earn you a chance to win your choice of the three books I’m offering. My goal in this is to keep you commenting, even after the contest is over. I know it can be scary to speak up the first time. Like when you meet a group of people and you find yourself hanging back on the fringes just listening. But once you start participating in the conversation, you enjoy yourself and make new friends. So take a chance, take a moment and leave a comment. Winners will be chosen by random drawing on May 16.
The books you can choose from, should you be the lucky winner:
More with Less Cookbook – This is one of my favorite cookbooks. Whenever I need to spend as little money as possible at the grocery, I plan meals from this book. They are economical and tasty.
The Cake Mix Doctor Cookbook – Another favorite. Dress up a cake mix and impress someone today.
The All New Square Foot Gardening – I have given a copy of this book away before, but since it is spring and planting time I wanted to offer it again. This is the method we are using for our garden this year.

What a great idea! And I HIGHLY recommend the Cake Mix Doctor for anyone undecided about which book they would choose.
What a great idea!
PS I am so intrigued by Square Foot Gardening and I’ve been reading up on it! I wonder if I am too late to start this season???
Love the giveaway books – I would like more with less or the square foot garden!
I made the BBQ tortillas last night and my husband LOVED them. I am making the penne gorgonzola tonight. Yummy!
This is my first time visiting, and it looks like I picked a fine time to stop by
I would love any of the books; they all look like great choices for food lovers. Now I’m going to check out some of your recipes. Italian beef sandwiches in the crockpot, listed on your sidebar, looks especially intriguing.
I so want to try the Square Foot Gardening!!
I’ve admired you from afar, even on the SL forums. If I had only known you just want me to ‘talk’(comment) I’m good for that. I have 5 kids and am just now really learning how to manage our home, esp. the kitchen, so I appreciate reading your blog. I would love to have a copy of More With Less since we’re unemployed and I’m definitely learning those ropes.
Thanks for a chance to win and you’ll be seeing me again!
What a great giveaway! We had a copy of Dinner Doctor, just loved it (back before when Belle was cooking, that is!).
I really need the More-with-Less cookbook… I am trying so hard to cut back in the grocery area and still feed a family of 5.
Hope I win.

I get bad about commenting since I read from Google Reader. I need to hop over more often.
I missed the last giveaway for the Square Foot Gardening book so maybe I’ll get it this time around. If not, maybe I should buy my own copy.
The More for Less book also looks interesting.
Anyway, this is a great way to get people to start engaging in conversation. I’m off to find my favorite posts and comment on them also.
We usually just garden in a big ol’ plot. Your posts about Square Foot Gardening have me interested.
hi! i’m really new to your blog and so glad i found it. i’d really love to try that more for less cookbook. i’ve been trying to cut way back lately, but it can be difficult and stressful! that book seems like it could be really helpful.
thanks for the giveaway!
What a great giveaway… I don’t know which I would want more… either the Square Foot Gardening or the More for Less – both great books. But since I’m doing the square foot gardening for the first time this year I guess that would be a good one to own. It’s hard to get from the library!
Off to browse your blog some more!
great books! I would love to have the Square Foot Gardening book.
Great giveaway! The books ALL look great…I think I’m most interested in the More with Less book.
I am not a gardener, but the Square Foot Gardening sounds intriguing. My husband would love it. But the More With Less cookbook seems more my cup of tea.
I really enjoy your blog. I’m just really bad about posting. I tried your Pudding Cake a while back and thought it was a fun recipe!
Love the giveaway–I could use all 3! But I’m a sucker for desserts so the cake mix cookbook sounds cool!
I am excited about this giveaway! We started the Square Foot Gardening this year, but I don’t own the book, just been trying to glean off of others that are doing it. But wouldn’t it be great if I actually had the book. HA!
We have three boxes made up and one is planted with green beans and the others will have various other items.
I am new to your blog and I am looking forward to trying some recipes. Thanks for the giveaway!
I just stumbled upon your website from another cooking blog. I love the recipes can’t wait to try some.

I would love to try Square Foot Garden.
What a good idea – I love to comment anyway
More with Less and Square Foot Gardening sound good to me. I guess the gardening one would be my first choice since I write about that at my blog and I could review it for my readers.
Please count me in! I had More with Less years and years ago!
These ALL look like great books! I’d want to read the gardening book, but also the cake book, and what the heck, More with Less!
More with Less sounds right up my alley! I’d love to start gardening as well though!
Hi! I would love to win the Square Foot Garden Book as my dh and sons have given me a SFG for Mother’s Day. It’s all built and ready to go. We just need to get out there and mix the soil and plant.
Hi there, just wanted to say that I love checking your blog and you have great recipes. I would be interested in the more with less or the cake doctor. They both sound fantastic and I love to cook and bake, they would be put to good use

I would love the More with Less book. I love your website!
I have been loving your blog. I actually started a 3-ring binder titled “Eat at Home” to put recipes in from this blog and others that will help us eat cheap and good. I would love to have the More For Less, but also am really getting into gardening… hard choice. Bless you for all your hard work.
I am really hoping to try square foot gardening this year! I enjoy your blog!
I highly recommend the cake mix doctor. I have a copy that’s stuffed with bookmarks. I’m not a gardener and now live in a condo where I can’t hurt innocent plants. More with Less sounds like a good one. I’d love to win that one. Thx for the offer.
