Your comment is worth $1 for the Global Food Crisis Fund

Have you noticed the cost of your groceries increasing rapidly?  You are not alone.  The cost of food all over the world has risen dramatically, an average of 80% increase since 2005.  Many of us feel this in our family budgets, but for people who are trying to live on just $1 a day the high cost of food is devastating.
A small partnership of people have pledged to give $1 for each comment left here on Eat at Home today, up to $100.  The money will be sent to Compassion Global Food Crisis Fund.  Your comment will feed a child for 2 days!  Help us get to 100 comments.
I encourage you to check out the Compassion website to learn more about the Global Food Crisis or to donate.  If you do that, let me know in your comments.  Or tell me about your local food mission, or another organization working to end hunger.  Or just say “hi”.  Any comment counts, but please don’t leave without commenting today.  It’s such a simple thing to do and will have a big impact.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another recipe, but today let’s band together to fight hunger around the world.

I see you’re ove the 100 limit, but hey, maybe some nice person will see this and pledge to donate more. I help my local community by participating in my kids’ school food drive 2 times a year. They do a week long thing where you bring different items each day. I go through my pantry and send them each with a few things every day of that week. I have to send them along with equal amounts because the class that brings the most gets and ice cream party!
