I’m so excited because I have a great give away planned for next week. On Tuesday, March 10th the ladies at The Secret’s in the Sauce are hosting Spring Fling. There will be lots of give aways over there. As part of that, I will be having my first give away here!
You’re going to like what I’m giving. It’s something fun for use in the kitchen. Don’t forget to check back in next week so you can enter to win.
I also wanted to let you know that I made Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken again last week. I over cooked it and it was not as good. It made it too salty tasting. We still ate it, but it was much better the first time I made it. I did add a note about that on the recipe. Wouldn’t a programmable crockpot be great?
If you ever try one of my recipes and find something that works (or doesn’t) please feel free to leave your hint in the comments. Maybe you’ve substituted ingredients or changed out a step. If so, let me know!
I’ll be posting the recipe for a wonderful salad later today. I’ve also got recipes for Southwest Beef Rolls and Oven Roasted Potatoes coming soon.

Thank goodness it wasn’t just me that does that! I tried the same recipe and overcooked it…and I think we all threw it away. The pineapple were icky and the chicken was way tooo salty and dry. I’d like to try it again…when I’m home to watch it.
And I might add the pineapple juice in the beginning but wait on the pineapple since they turned an icky color.
Okay, now I’m hungry! I’ll have to check out the recipe for my files (don’t have a crock pot here). Next year I’ll be back to cooking in the crock pot one of the things I miss most!
Have fun with your first giveaway! I think I’m going to do it too!
I’m looking forward to your giveaway.
Your cheddar muffins look fantastic!
Isn’t the Spring Fling exciting? I think I want to Spring Fling too…but I’m not sure what I’ll give away!
I baked your cheddar muffins this morning. I didn’t have any cornmeal, and the storm prevented me from going anywhere, so I used two full cups of flour. They came out very biscuit-like, but delicious!
I’m not the only one then, I fixed a Oriental Beef and Noodle soup last week that was so bland it was barely edible. Oh well, at least it was nourishing
Brandy – I’m so sorry about the Teriyaki chicken! I have another friend who said she over cooked it to. It really isn’t as good. Sorry!
Kitten – I’m glad you substituted for what you had and that it worked out. I’m all for substituting ingredients. It just doesnt’ make sense to make a special trip to the grocery sometimes.
I love your site and am soo excited about your giveaway!
You are so impressive. That will be fun for you to have a give away. I will be sure to keep checking. Thanks!!
I’m so excited about the Spring Fling! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store!
Spring Fling is so exciting! Too bad I have a realllly long day scheduled and will miss out on most of the fun. I’ll just be busy all night, making the rounds!
