Hey, Thanks for the award!!

We have had a running joke since we got married that when the smoke detector goes off, dinner is ready. My 3 year old even comes running to eat when it goes off now.

As far as making napkins and having more laundry goes ... well, yes technically it does make for another load. Before I bought my new washer/dryer I figured it was definitely not worth it, since I was probably wasting a lot of water which was worse than using 5698 napkins every week. But since getting the new washer and saving a BUNCH of money and water, it's totally worth it. Plus I figure since I need to run bleach through the washer every week or so, I'd just kill two birds with one stone and bleach the napkins when I wash them, hence cleaning out my washer. Phew! That was a mouthful, no? ;)
Plus? Even though the napkins are just a basic white they add something 'fancy' to our table, they're softer than napkins and it feels good to do one more nice thing for Mother Nature.

Great story! My mother barely knew how to boil water when my parents married. Unforch for him they lived an ocean away from any family members that could help either of them out. LOL

That makes me remember when we first got married--I stopped up the sink disposal and set off the fire detector in one week.
