Easy Bake Oven – Oatmeal Pancake Bars

Don’t let the number of ingredients in the picture scare you. It’s all very tiny amounts (of course) and it just gives the kids more to measure – always fun!

Gather up your ingredients and find your little cook:

1 Tbs. brown sugar

1/2 Tbs. peanut butter

1/2 Tbs. pancake syrup

1/16 tsp. vanilla

1/4 cup oats

1/2 Tbs. butter

1 Tbs. chocolate chips

Combine all the ingredients and press into greased and floured pans. Bake 12-15 minutes. Makes 2-3 cakes.

These tasted very good. This recipe is from Baking with Mommy Cookbook. I highly recommend it.

I had a Holly Hobbie Easy Bake Oven when I was a kid. It was designed like one of those old-fashioned wrought-iron stoves from the 19th century. I loved it! I still miss it…:(

My kids just got an easy bake oven for christmas. I also refuse to pay for mixes so this recipe will come in quite handy. Thank you very much. I feel like I saw a cookbook devoted entirely to using the EBO without mixes a year or so ago. Sounds like you’ve got it covered on your own though.
